THE WOMEN’S FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAM​

All applicants enrolling into the program must satisfy NESLI’s admissions criteria and adhere to standard admissions policies and procedures.

The Women’s Future Leaders Program is an inspirational development experience for all women teachers and especially those considering a future in leadership.

Delivered part-time over four months, this practical, applied learning program is designed to help enable the transition of teaching staff into confident, capable and motivated future leaders. Additionally, and importantly, the program provides an opportunity for women to candidly explore their career aspirations, opportunities and challenges in a safe and supportive environment.

Ultimately the course focuses on inspiring and engaging today’s teachers to consider their role in shaping the future of Australian schools whilst simultaneously building their awareness, confidence, insight and interpersonal skills.​

Segmented into five modules, the program engages participants in a detailed exploration around the fundamentals of leadership and their individual drivers and derailers.​

The NESLI e-Learning Portal stands at the forefront of integrated digital learning technology and marries the very best of connected dialogic learning with easy-to-use and highly accessible online environments.

The Women’s Future Leaders Program is an entry level leadership and interpersonal awareness program suitable for all teaching staff and especially those aspiring to future leadership roles. The program is designed to help teachers to critically reflect on their own practice and build their leadership capabilities in preparation for future advancement.​

The program provided some excellent strategies and tools for improving and enhancing one’s leadership capabilities. The fact that it is facilitated online provides a great deal of flexibility for participants. Great opportunity to learn off others and share experiences of leadership and growth. Facilitators and participants were great to work with and engaging.

IMMUNITY TO CHANGE PROJECT 

The ICP is an outcome-driven activity that runs throughout the program and is focused on enhancing the participant’s impact within their school context. At the conclusion of the program, participants provide feedback to the cohort on their project and key learnings.

ON-DEMAND LEARNING CONTENT

On-demand learning content, pertinent to each module, is accessible via the online learning management system (LMS) allowing participants to engage with it at any time from any device. Content includes high quality video tutorials, ‘best practice’ leadership literature, experiential activities and reflective tasks. Throughout the program, participants are also free to connect with each other 24/7 via the LMS and discuss ‘top of mind’ issues.

PEER COACHING SESSIONS

Through peer coaching, participants will practice how to effectively deliver feedback and have meaningful, outcome-driven coaching and mentoring conversations. Additionally, these sessions often lead to a deeper connection between peers and a better understanding and appreciation of each other’s challenges.

INTERACTIVE ONLINE WORKSHOPS

Focused on rich discussion and debate, the interactive online workshops enable participants to share their experiences and contextualise their learning within real world situations. Working collaboratively to overcome challenges also helps to build professional relationships and creates greater commitment to learning outcomes.
